Castor Oil Balms

Hand-crafted in Somerset Uk, the Organic Castor Oil Balm provides you with a simple, mess-free, easy-to-apply alternative to castor oil liquid for castor oil packs, or for nourishing areas of dry, irritated or sensitive skin.

The Organic Castor Oil Balm, made with 87% organic cold-pressed (Hexane-free) castor oil, Beeswax and natural Vitamin E, provides pure, 100% natural premium standard, toxin-free ingredients.

Nothing more, nothing less, only the purest, simplest ingredients you need. Fully safety tested and UK certified. Vegetarian and Cruelty-free: Containing no petrochemicals, synthetic fragrances or dyes.

Packaged in amber glass jars so no toxins are leached in to the oils from plastics.

The Balm can be rubbed in to any area of the body you require it. The warmth of your hands as you massage it in, helps absorb the castor oil (A heat pad or self-adhesive heat pack can also be applied).

The Balm can be left to absorb for 30 minutes and then wiped off, or allowed to soak in as you go about your day or night. Please note, it is advisable to wear an old t-shirt or vest over the balm to prevent staining of clothes or fabrics.

The GOTS certified organic cotton cloth can be placed over the balm, or used to wipe the balm away once you have finished. Using organic cotton undyed and unbleached flannel ensures no toxins are drawn in to your body, as the castor oil penetrates deeply in to your tissues.

HOW TO USE THE BALM AS PART OF A CASTOR OIL PACK

Having the time and space to be able to do a full castor oil pack can be difficult to find, and can also feel messy for some. The castor oil balm is made from the purest castor oil with a little beeswax and natural vitamin E added to make it just the right consistency to rub in to any part of your body that requires it's benefits.

This means you can literally rub in the balm - the warmth of rubbing it in helps the tissues to more deeply absorb the oil - and put on an old t-shirt or vest under your clothes to avoid any staining from the oil and go about your day.

It is also possible to rub in the balm at bedtime and leave on over night. If you would like the benefits of extra warmth to help the oil absorb even more deeply, many people have very successfully used eco-friendly slim-line self adhesive packs made from activated charcoal (by Hotteeze https://hotteeze.co.uk/) which can be placed over a t-shirt or vest but beneath other clothing and stay beautifully warm for 12 hours, enabling you to get all the benefits of a full castor oil pack with heat whilst travelling, working or going about your day.

Making it easier and simpler to apply can make it feel like a much more practical option when lack of time or mess would otherwise put you off.

Placing the GOTS certified organic cotton flannel over the area you have applied the balm can help to prevent the balm coming in to contact with your clothes or other fabrics. It also helps to ensure that only un-dyed, unbleached organic cotton is in contact with the castor oil balm, as the castor oil is drawn in deeply to your tissues, thus preventing any toxins leaching in to this. The cloth is wonderfully soft and can also be used to wipe the castor oil balm away once you feel you have finished with the treatment. It is washable and can be used for multiple applications before washing is necessary. It is advisable to soak overnight in warm water with a tablespoon of baking soda before being rinsed out by hand or placed in the washing machine. Please note - the cloth does not come with straps. It is for placing over the balm or wiping it away, but does not have straps to hold it in place.
