My husband had a large mole on his forehead that was very unpleasant and had understandably concerned us. He had it checked at the hospital on two separate occasions, so we felt reassured medically.

I first discovered the benefits of castor oil many years ago when I was first diagnosed with an underactive thyroid and have used it to great effect to help with the side effects of the medication I take and can testify to the powerful healing properties of the oil. My muscle and joint aches, thinning hair and eyebrows are a thing of the past thanks to the amazing properties of castor oil. The oil with this set is organic and hexane-free and a lovely viscous texture as it should be and you only need to use a small amount to benefit from its anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties. I am using it daily as a massage oil mixed with additional organic anti-inflammatory carrier oils and essential oils to help with absorption on muscles and joints and even my lower back and it keeps me pain free. I also add a couple of drops to my face oil morning and night for its additional skin benefits.

I’ve never used a neck wrap before but realising it would be of further benefit to my thyroid I knew it would be worth purchasing. The wrap itself is made of lovely soft organic cotton and cotton flannel and is very comfortable to wear. The first time I used it I applied the castor oil balm directly to my neck and thyroid and kept it on for an hour. I felt a lovely warming effect and found it very relaxing. The second time I used the oil and kept it on a little longer. I’ve now used the wrap four times and one of the remarkable effects I’ve found is that it has cleared the throat congestion I have had for some time and also the tenderness in the thyroid area seems to have gone. As I used to often wake during the night due to the congestion I find I am now sleeping better and for longer. Castor oil is truly one of nature’s miracle and I would never be without it.

The balm is a delight to use and absorbs well. I’ve been using it for several days and have found so many uses for it. I use it every morning as a lip balm before I go for a walk in the woods as protection against the wind and rain. It has the added benefits of the anti-inflammatory and moisturising properties of the beeswax and vitamin E and it keeps my lips well moisturised for several hours. I’m now using it every evening after cleansing instead of my usual night cream and it keeps my skin lovely and soft. I’ve already used castor oil for many years on my muscles and joints but I’m now using this every evening on my feet and for a relaxing hand massage. Even my husband is using it on a dry patch on his face and a rash he’s had for some time is starting to clear.

My only problem now I also have a small pot of the lavender balm ( a lovely surprise gift when I placed my second order) is which one to use so I’m now combining the two balms for the added antibacterial and relaxing effects of the combination of the two essential oils. They are two of my favourite essential oils and together create a powerful synergy.
