This custom racing alternator features a self exciting internal regulator with no plug on the alternator. This feature makes this alternator a great choice for customers using late model Corvette alternator brackets in custom applications without an OEM harness. This alternator will function with only a positive and negative cable running from the alternator to battery. The S Series of 6 phase alternators offers incredible output in a compact and durable package. Highly efficient, these units use less horsepower per kW than conventional 3 phase alternators. These units feature 12 diodes, twin rectifier plates and outstanding airflow to ensure long service life even in severe conditions. These units are available for a broad range of domestic and import applications in 170 or 240 amp configurations. The 170 amp S Series unit uses a stock diameter pulley, making it perfect for high RPM and racing use.
This unit does not have the ability to operate a check battery light in the dash.

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS:
Machine wash separately in cold water on a gentle cycle. Tumble dry separately on low heat. Add QE Home Wool Dryer Balls to reduce wrinkles and increases drying efficiency. Touch up with a low heat iron as needed. Do not bleach or dry clean.
