Why this matters

Warmth is a lovely way to settle into a ritual, and the heat is also able to help deepen and support your castor oil practice. The mini CosyPanda hot water bottle gives you gentle, focused warmth in just the right spot. The cover is 100% organic and Oeko-Tex certified, with a natural cotton lining and a soft bamboo and cotton wadding that gives the bottle a double layer of insulation, so the warmth lasts a little longer, pairing beautifully with our plastic-free organic wrap.

The layers of fabric in the wrap are GOTS certified organic cotton — undyed, unbleached, and free from synthetic additives throughout. Every layer of cotton fabric is organic (not just the one against your skin), hypoallergenic and perfect for sensitive skin and those wishing to avoid any harmful chemicals.

For the same reason, we recommend pairing with organic, cold-pressed, hexane-free castor oil in amber glass.

Using your Castor Oil Wrap and mini Hot Water Bottle together

1. Apply your castor oil directly to your skin.
2. Lay your wrap flannel side up. Fold the small towel and place it on top, then fold the insert pad in half and place it on the stack.
3. Lift the wrap and place it over the area where you’ve applied the oil.
4. Wrap the ties around your body at the back and tie them at the front.
5. Fill your bottle with warm (not boiling) water, to no more than two-thirds full. Press out the air, close the stopper firmly and slide the bottle into its cover.
6. Taking care as you fill as just a little water is needed.
7. Tuck the bottle inside the ties, over the area you’d like to warm. The ties hold it securely in place, away from any direct contact with the oil.

Care
The Wrap is fully washable, reusable, and made to last. For cleaning, soak in bicarbonate of soda and hot water for 20 minutes. Rinse with non-toxic soap and air dry.

The hot water bottle cover is removable and suitable for a cold hand wash or a low-temperature, delicate machine wash. Empty the bottle fully after use, remove the stopper and store somewhere cool and dry, away from direct sunlight and heat.

Bottle life
Natural rubber perishes over time. Please check the bottle regularly for wear, cracking or leaks, and replace it after 2–3 years of use.

Please note

• We recommend a patch test before use, as although rare, allergic responses to castor oil are possible
• Castor oil can stain — use old clothing and protect furniture and bedding during use
• Avoid during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or after ovulation if trying to conceive
• Do not use on open wounds, irritated or broken skin
• Take care with additional heat over scar tissue, where there may be reduced sensation
• Castor oil may increase blood flow – use with care during menstruation if you experience heavier bleed

• Hot water bottles can cause burns. Avoid prolonged direct contact with skin.
• Never use boiling water, and never sit or lie directly on a filled bottle.
• Keep the bottle away from oil, which can damage natural rubber.
• Not suitable for babies or young children.
• The bottle conforms to UK BS 1970:2012 safety standards.
