What makes these pads different
♦ Three layers Most castor oil pads are single or 2-ply. Ours are three layers of organic cotton flannel, for a fuller, more substantial pad.
♦ Generous size meaning you can fold the pad over again for an even deeper stack of organic cotton, or lay it flat to cover a wider area.
♦ Plastic-free, with no waterproof layer. Just organic cotton: no vinyl, plastic or synthetic backing.
♦ Certified organic cotton. GOTS certified, Naturtextil certified and Fair for Life certified, undyed and unbleached.

How to use
In your wrap:
Use it as a replacement for the insert pad that came with your wrap, so one can be washed and dried while the other is in use. Being able to wash your wraps more regularly and have clean pads ready to use helps to keep your treatments as fresh and effective as possible. Or you can layer it with your original pad for an even deeper stack of organic cotton. Or share one wrap between family members, with a pad of their own each.
On its own:
Apply your castor oil directly to your skin, then lay the pad over the top. Place an old towel over the pad to help hold the cloth and oil against your skin and rest in place, or tuck in to old clothing. (The insert pad doesn’t have ties to hold it in place. Please see our castor oil wrap for this)
Why organic, certified cotton?
Your castor oil and cloth sit against your skin for a long time, so the pad should be as clean as the oil. This cotton is certified to GOTS (certified by Ecocert Greenlife), Naturtextil (Ecocert Greenlife) and Fair for Life standards, and is undyed and unbleached.

Care
The pads are fully washable, reusable and made to last. For cleaning, soak in bicarbonate of soda and hot water for 20 minutes. Rinse with non-toxic soap and air dry.
Please note
- We recommend a patch test with castor oil before use, as with any new natural product
- This pad has no waterproof backing, so oil can soak through. Use an old towel on top and protect clothing, furniture and bedding.
- Castor oil can stain.
- As undyed organic cotton, your pads may soften and change colour slightly with use.
- Please do not put oil-soaked pads in to the washing machine or tumble-dryer, or heat them in the microwave.
Packaging
Your pads arrive packaged in recycled and recyclable materials. Every parcel is put together with care, because how it arrives matters as much as what’s inside.
