The neck and thyroid are areas that respond beautifully to castor oil — and this wrap is designed to make that practice as pure, effective and simple as possible. Shaped to fit snugly around the neck, it holds the oil-soaked insert securely in place so you can carry on with your day, rest, or sleep — without having to hold anything in position yourself. This sized compress also works beautifully for wrists, ankles, knees and elbows, to help bring ease for tender joints.

Why it matters
Castor oil penetrates deeply into the tissues, so everything it touches needs to be free from dyes, chemicals and plastics. This wrap is made from organic, undyed and unbleached cotton throughout — so nothing unwanted enters your treatment. For the same reason, we recommend pairing with organic, cold-pressed, hexane-free castor oil in amber glass.
The neck is a particularly sensitive area, and the thyroid sits close to the surface — which makes the quality of everything in contact with the skin especially important here. Every layer of this wrap is chosen with that in mind.

Shaped to fit around the neck, with adjustable ties for a secure, comfortable fit — suitable for daytime or overnight use. As there is no waterproofing layer (keeping the wrap entirely plastic-free), we find it works best to apply the oil directly to your skin and place the wrap over the top.

Why use a wrap?
A castor oil wrap maximises contact between the oil and your skin, making your practice more effective and more practical. The neck wrap is shaped and sized to stay in place without being restrictive — so you can work from home, rest, or sleep with it on, rather than needing to hold a cloth in position yourself.
Castor oil has been used traditionally for centuries to support the lymphatic and circulatory systems. The lymphatic system relies on movement and stimulation to function — it has no pump of its own the way the circulatory system has the heart. Castor oil packs are one gentle way to encourage that movement.
The layered organic cotton construction keeps things mess-free and protects your clothing and bedding, while being soft enough to wear comfortably against the skin for extended periods.

Care
The wrap is fully washable, reusable, and made to last. For cleaning, soak in bicarbonate of soda and hot water for 20 minutes. Rinse with non-toxic soap and air dry.
Please note
- We recommend a patch test before use, as although rare, allergic responses to castor oil are possible
- Castor oil can stain — use old clothing and protect furniture and bedding during use
- Avoid during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or after ovulation if trying to conceive
- Do not use on open wounds, irritated or broken skin
- Take care with additional heat over scar tissue, where there may be reduced sensation
- Castor oil may increase blood flow — use with care during menstruation if you experience heavier bleeds

I purchased the organic castor oil neck wrap & pack after being so pleased with the frankincense balm I had previously ordered. As with my first order the package was beautifully wrapped with a lovely hand-written card, a sample pot of the lavender balm and detailed information leaflets about the product.
I first discovered the benefits of castor oil many years ago when I was first diagnosed with an underactive thyroid and have used it to great effect to help with the side effects of the medication I take and can testify to the powerful healing properties of the oil. My muscle and joint aches, thinning hair and eyebrows are a thing of the past thanks to the amazing properties of castor oil. The oil with this set is organic and hexane-free and a lovely viscous texture as it should be and you only need to use a small amount to benefit from its anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties. I am using it daily as a massage oil mixed with additional organic anti-inflammatory carrier oils and essential oils to help with absorption on muscles and joints and even my lower back and it keeps me pain free. I also add a couple of drops to my face oil morning and night for its additional skin benefits.
I’ve never used a neck wrap before but realising it would be of further benefit to my thyroid I knew it would be worth purchasing. The wrap itself is made of lovely soft organic cotton and cotton flannel and is very comfortable to wear. The first time I used it I applied the castor oil balm directly to my neck and thyroid and kept it on for an hour. I felt a lovely warming effect and found it very relaxing. The second time I used the oil and kept it on a little longer. I’ve now used the wrap four times and one of the remarkable effects I’ve found is that it has cleared the throat congestion I have had for some time and also the tenderness in the thyroid area seems to have gone. As I used to often wake during the night due to the congestion I find I am now sleeping better and for longer. Castor oil is truly one of nature’s miracle and I would never be without it.
I love this set and will continue to use it regularly.
