Crafted from multilayered, GOTS-certified organic cotton flannel and unbleached, un-dyed 100% organic cotton, this pack is designed to be gentle on your skin and kind to the environment. Every layer of fabric is organic offering a pure, hypoallergenic, and ultra-soft touch, perfect for sensitive skin and those wishing to avoid any harmful chemicals. The integrated pocket for a hot water bottle or heat pack can improve your castor oil treatment by providing targeted, sustained warmth exactly where you need it.

Use it over your abdomen, liver, or back & shoulders to soothe cramps, ease muscle soreness, and support circulation. The natural fibres absorb and hold castor oil effectively, allowing deep skin absorption without the need for plastic wraps or vinyl covers.

By holding the hot water bottle or heat pack in the optimal position, the built-in pocket maximises the combined benefits of heat therapy and castor oil to help :-

Mess-Free

The multi-layered construction absorbs excess oil, minimising leaks and reducing the risk of castor oil staining clothing or furniture fabrics it may otherwise come in to contact with.

Adjustable

The 100cm long double cotton straps create a comfortable, secure fit, suitable for all body sizes.

 

PLEASE NOTE: In order to keep the packs free-from plastics and vinyls, there is no waterproofing layer added to these wraps. The extra inserts provide layers of fabric to hold and absorb excess oil preventing leaks. We find with these wraps it can work best to apply the castor oil to your skin and apply the wrap over this.

 

USAGE :

Lay your wrap soft flannel-side up.

Having folded the cotton towel in half, place this centrally on top of the wrap.

Do the same with the cotton flannel insert, folding in half and placing on top of the wrap and towel.

Apply 2-3 tablespoons of organic castor oil to the part of your body you wish to treat and gently rub this in.

Place the pack over the target area, and tie securely in place with the straps.

Insert a hot water bottle or heat pack into the integrated pocket, and relax with the treatment in place. I usually suggest building up the length of time you keep the pack in place to begin with, starting slow and building up to 1 hour to give your body a chance to adjust to it, before using the packs overnight.

Alternative to using Castor Oil Liquid

Organic Castor Oil Balm, made with 87% organic cold-pressed castor oil, 12% natural Beeswax and 1% natural Vitamin E, provides equally high standard, toxin-free ingredients in a semi-solid alternative form to the liquid oil. This can be rubbed directly on to the body part you wish to treat and the wrap applied over the top. The Balm can be especially helpful when there isn't time to do a full castor oil pack with the liquid, or at any time you prefer a simple-to-apply alternative to the liquid. Unscented or Balms scented with organic Lavender or Frankincense essential oil can be ordered separately from Her Wild Organics to use with the Wraps.

 

IMPORTANT NOTES

Please note, it is advisable to carry out a patch test, as although rare, it is possible to have an allergic reaction to castor oil.

Castor oil can stain fabrics and clothing, therefore it is always advisable to use caution or wear old clothes when using packs, or to place an old towel over furniture or your bed.

Avoid using castor oil packs if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or after ovulation if you are trying to conceive.

Don’t use on open wounds or irritated skin such as rashes or cuts

Take care when using packs with additional heat sources over scar tissue, as there can sometimes be numbness in these areas.

Castor oil can increase blood flow so avoid using during your period.
