Wild Heart Candle

Why it matters

Most candles are scented with synthetic fragrance oils — cheaper, more consistent, and completely devoid of therapeutic benefit. This one uses only pure essential oils, added by hand at a level high enough to give a genuine scent throw that fills the room. As the candle burns, the oils are released into the air. The difference between a synthetic fragrance candle and a pure essential oil candle isn't just what's not in it. It's what is.

Soy wax is plant-based, renewable and burns cleaner than paraffin. The amber glass jar is reusable. The cotton wick is natural and self-trimming. Everything here is chosen with the same care as the rest of the Her Wild Organics range.

Candle care

• Before lighting, trim the wick to no more than 5mm to prevent black smoke
• On first use, keep the candle burning for at least 2 - 4 hours to allow the wax to melt evenly to the edges — this prevents tunnelling
• Never burn for more than 4 hours at a time
• Always place on a level, heat-resistant surface, away from draughts, children and pets
• Never leave a burning candle unattended
• Extinguish and do not relight when less than 5mm of wax remains
• Soy wax has a lower melting point than paraffin — there may be a substantial pool of melted wax during burning, so take care when moving or extinguishing
